GAC Tournament Championship

Get ready, Bisons fans! This weekend, our Harding Baseball team battles in-state rival Henderson State in a three-game series for the 2025 Great American Conference Tournament Championship.

Here's everything you need to know:

The Stakes:

  • GAC Tournament Championship: The winner of this series will be crowned the 2025 GAC Tournament Champion, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament.

  • Rivalry Renewed: The first game of the series will be the 187th meeting between these teams since 1959.

The Schedule (All Games at Jerry Moore Field, Harding University):

  • Game 1: May 9 at 6 p.m.

  • Game 2: May 10 at 2 p.m.

  • Game 3 (If Necessary): May 11 at 2 p.m.

  • Admission is FREE

  • Jerry Moore Field: Located on the campus of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Rialto Family Film Festival

Creative Group of Arkansas is excited to host the Rialto Family Film Festival in Searcy, Arkansas. The festival's mission is to provide a space where families can experience the artistry of independent cinema. We aim to curate and showcase high-quality films that are accessible to all ages. We welcome both children's films and faith-based films (in fact, we have a category for the latter) but by no means limit the festival to those genres - we invite filmmakers to submit any works that meet our criteria below.

We're hosting the festival in the Rialto Theater, a historic movie theater that has been in continuous operation since it was first constructed in the early 1920's. For the 2025 Rialto Family Film Festival, 17 films have been selected to be screened and judged. This two-day event which will host panels of experts, including Stephen Sinclair (screenwriter for the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) John Means (scenic department head for Universal Studios for movies likes Jaws, Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park), Byron Motley (producer of The Leagues), Dylan Treadwell (intellectual property attorney and filmmaker), Joe Aaron (writer/director for Surrounded by Idiots and co-creator of Doug), and Dr. Charles Bane (chair of the film department and professor of communication at Harding University).

The Rialto Family Film Festival is a ticketed event. More information on full event passes, block tickets, and the schedule will be released soon.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

Searcy Parks & Recreation's Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 19 at the Searcy Adult Softball Fields on Queensway in Searcy.

The fun will begin at 9am as everyone arrives to get ready for the big hunt at 10am sharp!

In the meantime, get your picture made with the Easter Bunny & Peep, have your face painted, enjoy jumping in the bounce houses and play on the nearby playground equipment.

The Easter Bunny is bringing lots of eggs filled with candy as well as Prize Eggs in each of the 3 age divisions.

Age Divisions are 1–3; 4–7; and 8–12. Don’t forget you Easter Basket! 😊
